Hi everyone! This is Mahrag (its an old WOW name, dont ask!) Anyhow, were doing a great job as a clan and I wanted to post a few thoughts on how I think we can take the clan to the next level. These arent perfect and Im sure others will have even better ideas, just wanted to post my thoughts. Hope everyone is having fun in the clan and continues to become better and better! OK, now my thoughts! 1. Dont rush your TH! Weve all done it, myself included, but we want to get to TH10 as soon as possible and skip a few steps along the way. This will only cause us more trouble in the long run and make it tougher to progress. If you have already gotten yourself in a hole, put the brakes on and work on those upgrades! (Id recommend defenses first, especially mortars and wiz towards as these impact groups of troops.) 2. Farm, farm, farm! Unless you are TH9 or 10 its probably not a good idea to push for trophies - unless you are pushing for achievements. (Once you get the achievement, work you way back down to a league that seems appropriate) Farming is the fastest way to get your upgrades. If you arent sure how to do it, there are plenty of great YouTube vids that give great techniques. (You can also ask the clan for tips as we have many great player.) I farm by using all archers (relatively cheap) and seek out attacks that will net me a minimum of 100k of each resource (I can usually grab over 150k if Im patient.) Remember if you dont get back more elixir than you spend its not a successful farming attack. 3. Get out your CoC wallet and Donate, donate, donate - troops that is! We have a few clan members who carry a big burden on donations - Wind is literally over 10k. Everyone should try to donate at a rate of at least 1 troop donation for every 2 troops requested. A 1:2 ratio as it were. I hit that button every chance I get as we all should, its part of what makes being in a clan great! 4. If you cant produce it; dont request it! This is more of a courtesy than anything else, but if you can only produce level 2 Barbs, dont ask for Level 7. If someone gives you high level great, but dont ask for troops you cant produce. 5. Progress, progress, progress! Keep those builders busy and always plan out your upgrades! Try out different layouts and attach strategies - again, tons of YouTube vids that give strats for nearly every level TH and attack strategy (farming or trophy pushing). 6. Have a question - ask! Im not an expert and occasionally have questions - Ill typically visit youtube in search of an answer, but we have several very knowledgeable members who will be glad to help! The rest of these are WAR related: 7. We should think about shifting our war time to start in the evenings! As we are a Kentucky clan, Im guessing most of us are in the Central and Eastern time zones. We seem to have a lot of activity in the evenings and this can help with clan castle donations and attack strats. Personally, its tough on me to be active between 4 and 8 am as I am either sleeping on heading to work, Also, with more people active in the evening (8-9 pm) it gives us a chance as a clan to respond if we only need a couple of stars to win a war. 8. Let the little dogs eat! Its a good idea to let our lower level clan mates attack first to give them an opportunity to both be successful (#50 is going to have a tough time against a #20) as well as contribute to the success of the clan. My recommendation is that we save the first 2 hours of attack day for anyone # 30-50 to complete one attack. 9. Ive found that the computer generally suggests an attack that is well below where I am (i.e. Im 25 and the computer suggests 40). While this means I can probably get an easy three stars, its probably not going to be successful in the long run. Against scrub clans, yes; against guys who take it serious, no. 10. War bases. Most of our war bases are set up pretty well, but we still have a few who are leaving themselves open for easy attacks. KyWindage has been giving great advice and again, YouTube is a great resource. 11. Clan Castle Troops - this one is for me mostly. Dont forget to draw out those Clan Castle Troops from the base you are attacking, Watching replays, there are many of us, (me especially), who have attacks wrecked because we send in the cavalry first and the opposing clan castle troops just go to town. Draw them out and get rid of those pests with a few archers and then let the destruction begin! Again, Im no expert and none of these are CoC law! Just a few simple thoughts Ive had that I think can make this clan progress to the next level! Hope everyone continues to have fun!
