Hi everyone, This is Saum :) Saum is 12 years old, she lives with her mother in a one room hut with out running water or electricity. Sadly Saums father lost his battle with HIV/AIDS and this has left Saum under the care of her mother. providing for Saum on her own is proving too difficult for her mother, especially financially. At the moment Saum is about to finish primary school, when that happens she very much wants to go on to secondary school, and eventually told me that she would like to become a teacher some day :).. However her mother having very little to no income, will be unable to pay the school fees required to allow Saum to continue with her education. Its a sad truth that without school Saum will be forced to start laboring from a young age to support herself. To ensure this doesnt happen and send Saum to school where she belongs, will cost just £10.50... That is so little to provide a person with the chance at their dreams! In this instance that dream is becoming a teacher :) If anyone out there can share that with Saum and get her into school, please do get in touch... Much love from Uchira everyone :) x
