Hi everyone. This is my friend Nirvana Ortanez. Shes one of my very best friends and one of the greatest people I’ve had the privilege to know. Nirvana is making a push for the 2014 Olympics to represent the Philippines, where she is a dual citizen, along with the United States. Her event is making its debut in Sochi, which means that if she qualifies she will be the first Filipino woman to represent her country in this discipline. However, she needs help getting there. Along with raising money to support her Olympic dream, Nirvana plans to donate 5% of what she earns to help with relief efforts in the Philippines. Please help Nirvana and the Philippines if you can by donating. Although the Olympics do not provide people with food or water, they do inspire hope throughout a nation. Every penny helps, but if this is something you feel you cannot do, please cheer Nirvana on anyway, all the way to Sochi. Thanks!
