Hi everyone, We are aware and understand that many of you with existing Mandala (flight designator “RI”) flight bookings are anxious to sort out arrangements for your upcoming flights. We have increased staff strength at our call centres to cope with the anticipated queries. Our call centre agents are doing the best that they can, and we seek your patience in re-trying the various call centre numbers [Mandala call centre +62 (021) 2939-6688 or the Tigerair call centre (full list of numbers available at tigerair/sg/en/contact_us.php)]. All our call centre numbers are still in service, if you encounter an “invalid number” message from the telco, it is likely due to the high call volume that we’re currently encountering hence do try calling back at a later time. We thank you for your patience. There were also a couple of frequently asked questions raised in response to our earlier post, and we’d like to clarify the following: 1) In relation to the closure of Mandala, only flights operated by Mandala (flight designator “RI”) on 1 July 2014 and thereafter will be cancelled. Tigerair Singapore (flight designator “TR”) flights are not affected by the Mandala closure. If you have a mixed flight itinerary e.g. you’re flying out on a TR flight but returning on a RI flight, your TR flight will remain unchanged, however you have to contact our call centres to exercise either a flight transfer or a refund option for your return RI flight. 2) Also, for customers with a mixed flight itinerary e.g. you’re flying out on a TR flight but returning on a RI flight, you can opt for a flight transfer or fare refund for both legs of your journey (even though the TR flights are not affected by the Mandala closure). 3) Customers who are booked on the following Mandala/RI flights (Singapore-Jakarta or Singapore-Denpasar or vice versa) can opt for flight transfers to other TR flights operating on the same route (if seats are available). You do not have to top up the fare difference or related change charges for the flight transfer. We sincerely seek your understanding in the above matters, and would again like to assure all affected passengers that Tigerair is committed to helping you with your necessary changes and next steps.
