Hi everyone. We are seeing some common errors that are causing delays in issuing refunds. Here are some things you can do to help! 1. Name on FAFSA doesnt match Social Security or college records. Be sure to have these consistent. 2. Be sure to complete the admissions application completely. Some people left the city, state or zip (or put the wrong ones) and this has to be corrected. Additionally, there are issues with putting in phone numbers without an area code. 3. Filling out multiple applications for admissions with different programs. Once you are enrolled, do not complete an application for a future semester unless you sit out one of the major semester. 4. Not filling out if you have a GED or High School Diploma on the FAFSA. 5. Making corrections to your FAFSA once your loans have been disbursed. All of these things will slow down our ability to issue aid, more specifically because we have to figure out what is wrong to correct it and we have to correct it manually. Thanks!
