Hi everyone, We hope that you are all getting settled into your courses, whether its your first year at U of T or your last. We plan on bringing you lots of great events and opportunities this year, and will soon be posting more with regards to: - ESU Office Hours; - Our Fall Meet and Greet—the ESU’s first snack-filled gathering of the year, which will include a general meeting (to give you guys an idea of what to expect over the next few months, as well as the opportunity to tell us what you’d like to see!) and our fall by-elections (to elect some phenomenal first-year reps!); - The return of the ESU’s Mentorship Program for 2014-2015; and - The IDIOM Journal’s 2014-2015 Call for Editors. We will also begin compiling our monthly newsletters again, featuring various opportunities for the artistically- and literary-minded both on- and off-campus! In doing so, we sincerely hope to foster that all-too-often-mythical “sense of community” and keep you guys aware of great things to participate in or get involved with. In the meantime, here are two events taking place this week: 1) Career Information Days! The ‘Information Day’ pertaining to Arts and Science Disciplines will take place this Tuesday, September 16th (tomorrow!), from 11 am to 3 pm, at UC (15 King’s College Circle). 2) The Hatchery’s ArtSci Meet and Greet: this Wednesday September 17th, from 4-6 pm in BA5281. Unlike many other opportunities that the ESU tends to promote, this one relates to entrepreneurism!
