Hi everyone and Blessed Thanksgiving Day to all my American friends far and wide. Mr. Folgers and I were in a quiet mood this morning as we stepped out on the front porch just to enjoy a change of scenery. After saying a silent prayer thanking God for everything good and positive in the world, and everyone we are blessed to share our life with, I went into thinking, mostly I guess, about the upcoming day and what was in store. Then out of the blue, Mr. F remarked how wonderful his education was yesterday. As far as I knew he was stuck in the house all day, but I humored the remark. Oh, please, what education did you get? Dyllyisims, he replied without batting an eye. I asked what that was and here is his recollection.... (please forgive my spelling if I dont get it right) sunch ox is lunch box......sucky arms are lucky charms.....sero is cereal.....really good cereal is seroeummy.....turn key is turkey..... gam is gram.....spork is fork......sire ererarm is fire alarm......dare keen is dairy queen.....sook is look...saidy is ready..... and last but not least, last is sast. Obviously, my grandson has trouble with some sounds, but we are working on it. I just love when little ones are first learning to talk. I can remember that to every kid in my family, I was Aunt Bicky or Wicky because the various children couldnt pronounce vs. Now, Im Gam and Ill take it! Have a wonderfuly, blessing-filled day everyone. Hugs........
