Hi, everyone (and thanks for the thoughts, Irene)! I am the new owner of Jims Hideaway and I want to let everyone know whats going on. First, I want to say that I am a firm believer in respect and treating everyone fairly... and the way all of the dedicated Jims Hideaway employees have been treated is extremely upsetting to me. Irene, Bob some of the others have met me and know how I feel, and I have taken steps to assist some of employees (that I am able to). I have great sadness at the way these valued employees (and Jims Hideaway family members) were treated. Now to the future - we will be renovating (3-4 months worth), putting in a new kitchen and bar and upgrading somewhat. There will be GREAT food, I promise; the menu will be BBQ based, with Texas brisket, Memphis pulled pork, ribs and many other sandwiches and items with some interesting twists. I am very, very good at my BBQ, will be installing two smokers, and promise you that I will make you proud to see the Jims Hideaway tradition carried on. That having been said, I should say that the restaurant will no longer be called Jims Hideaway; it will be The Hideaway... a name with just enough change to reflect the great past and hopeful future. I will start posting menu items soon. There will still be great drinks and great fun, with karaoke and live music to enjoy. Thanks, Guys... I am looking forward to meeting everyone.
