Hi everyone...just wanted to do a quick follow up on some things. Please please remember to RSVP to ALL of the events you plan to attend. We are planning on serving food at both gatherings so it is really really important for us to have a pretty solid grasp on numbers so we know how much to order! Secondly...i have seen some discussion on here asking about where the auction moeny will go to. As of right now we are planning on giving to charities who are related to the diseases we have lost fellow classmates too. There have also been a few requests from fellow graduates to consider giving to charities that they are board mmebers of...or perhaps have used and/or founded themselves...and we are definitely considering doing so. Much of that decision will depend on how much we raise...if we raise alot we can give alot...which obviously we hope we do!! If you have some suggestions of organizations you would like us to consider please dont hesitiate to contact one of us. Wed love to hear from you! That brings me to my final point...while response has been positive on the auction were still hoping for many more donations. I on the behalf of all of us on the committee would like to ask you as you are perhaps out at gatherings, festivities, and parties this 3 day weekend to keep in mind goodies to gather to bring back to Cedar Falls and share with the rest of us. Perhaps ask the friends you are with for suggestions on what slices of your local heaven they think you should introduce to the rest of the country. Putting together a collection of regional treats, wines,beer etc would be a perfect way to share your love of your town. Maybe a favorite company of yours does online orders and you can bring a gift certificate if items would be too difficult to transport. Small business owners i hope youll consider donating items that recognize your entreprenuership. Craftsman...items that recognize your art and skill. And for those of us that are local...dont think that gives us an excuse to not participate....theres alot of great things about IA to let others take back with them! As i shared before it doesnt have to be big and elaborate...just a little piece of you and something you enjoy about where your life has taken you. So please consider donating to this inaugral event so that we can help to spread some good to several different worthy places. I hope you all enjoy a wonderful Memorial holiday and truly excited to see everyone in...gulp...about a month!!!! :) Andrea
