Hi everyone...just wanted to keep you posted on the goings on to make this reunion happen. I have been in touch with the Ocean View School District regarding finding both former staff and that pesky time capsule we buried. Human Resources is going to publicize the reunion and try to spread the word for us. Also, if you are on touch with any former staff please let them know of the reunion and that it would be so awesome to see them. Maintenance is trying to find a record of the time capsule or someone who knows more about it. Of the people I have spoken to they are pretty sure that wherever it was buried it remains to this day. No construction or any projects or improvements have been made to the area where we think it is in the 39 years since we buried it, so theres a good chance its right where we left it. The task now is to get someone with the authority to allow us to dig it up.......and we are really hoping to find a record of where it was placed since there IS going to be an expense to recovering it. No one wants to dig up a whole lawn and find nothing LOL LOL...... I may need Patrick Brown and/or Eric Hearn to be my help in actually being there if they decide to dig it up or meeting with people since I will not arrive in HB until mid July. NO OPENING IT THOUGH...I have promised folks that we will open it together at the reunion IF we can recover it......and thats still a big IF. But its in the works and if anyone can offer more assistance or knows something helpful please let me know. Other than that I am just deciding whether to bring spicy or honey BBQ wings to the reunion.....such planning! LMAO. But I am getting excited to see people and hear their stories. Let me know if any of you have other ideas or things youd like to have at this reunion...and I sincerely hope you will all try to make it. Hugs.
