Hi everyone sorry for the tōmuri-niss, Ive been a bit slack the past 24-48hours with the updates. Anyway its been a bit of a dramatic one the past 36hours lol... Where to start... Lol MONDAY. 2.46PM well had been for a ultra sound and it showed that mum has a blood clot above her right knee. And report was on its way. The results from the bloods taken that morning came back showing that mums liver also looks abnormal so because mum had already eaten they couldnt do a abdominal ultrasound until Tuesday (yesterday) after lunch. Chemo hadnt started yet so we were also be waiting to see if she would start that Monday. At the moment shes in Ward 23 in Room 1. 9.27pm The little IV needle thing was in mums arm, but for that night the doctor and nurses had said that they will start with flushing fluid in to mums body to see she can Mimi it out, and thats what they need to happen with the chemo.. Go in one end and out the other.. Lol we got the big danger talk that day too. So 7 days after chemo mum will be in the danger zone called neutropenia which is when we have to check her temp 4 times a day, and anyone who is sick including ourselves needs to stay away cause she may not be able to fight it if she catches someones germs. TUESDAY 10pm Shes had a rough day, kemo started.. So mum in hops until Sunday now because of all the dramas and delays. I was pouri for mum when she was boiling her eyeballs out cause she couldnt Handel anymore needles, they mucked up the IV needles in her arms and left bruises on both arms. Her arms got irritated and bruised more just before they were gonna flush her IV with fluid to get her Mimi flowing, so there was no way they were gonna start kemo incase of leaks to her blood stream. In the end she had an PICC line that lasts 6weeks put in to her, thank the atuas there were no complications cause there was risks of another blood clot, them punchuring the lung and irritation to her heart.. So.. It really had been an ass of a day lol WEDNESDAY (Today) Mums had two bags of chemo that take 7hrs each, one that was 8hrs and another 8hour one that wouldve just started half hour after I left hospital. Shes been good, and happy today mobility is still limited from the clot in her leg and she was feeling a little nauseous. Anyway here it all is whānau... Lol any questions? No? Cool! Thank You all.. Lol To add a last note - all our whānau and friends, thank you all for helping us, txting in and lightening the load in many different ways, my brothers and I are all so greatfull for the many kind gestures people have done to help out wherever.. We love you all! Pō Mārie! ❤️
