Hi everyone, today has been a physically, emotionally and spiritually exhausting day. I left my hotel at 8 a.m. and got back at 5:30. Today consisted of blood work, an ultrasound of my heart and a two-hour cardiac consult. Because of misdiagnoses back in PA, I am essentially starting from scratch. While I am not pleased that I have several more days of testing from now until December 17, I am grateful that the doctors are checking me from head to toe. I will try to explain the best I know how. If you have any questions, contact your local healthcare provider. Lol. 1) The type of heart surgery has basically been decided upon. Unfortunately, it wont be done until I learn more about the kidney cancer. 2) Because of my extensive history of blood clots, I must see a vascular doctor to get clearance to come off of blood thinners for the heart surgery and whatever surgery I may need done in my renal system. 3) While my appointment to discuss the treatment for my kidney isnt scheduled until Dec. 16, they have a checker system in which you can stop in every day before then to see if they can take you. 4) Because of my diabetes and adrenal issues, I must also see an endocrinologist. 5) Other tests include an autonomic test which involves the neurological system and a sweat test in which youre placed on a gurney and squeezed into an enclosed metal cabin that produces heat and humidity. 6) Im sure I havent explained everything sufficiently, but I tried my best. So, mama always told me there would be days like this. I left the clinic today full of fear, uncertainty, confusion and GRATITUDE. I know I am working with the very best doctors in the world and I have the greatest support network between my church, this group and very special page and some family members. But most of all, I must give thanks to a loving God, who is at the helm of this ship. Some days are going to be bad, this was one of them. But, as the message below states, brighter days are ahead. Just difficult to see them at the moment. God Bless you all, I love you - Bill. Punt.
