Hi family and friends back home....A full week! Writing a Grant proposal...close to being done. Went to Skopje Thursday to FON University and presented Gestalt to a university class interested in team-building and organizational development. Afterward, the Professor, Vesna, took me to town center to meet her (very interesting friend, Zoya). Zoya met us and drove us to a hip part of town where we ate really good ASIAN FOOD....OMG... have I missed Asian food!. ...it was crispy, lemon beef...I am still savoring it. On the way home from Skopje in a shared taxi, four passengers and a driver...the conversation was lively and continuous...my broken Macedonian and a young woman passenger, who spoke English, kept things rolling. Saturday, I visited some auto repair shops...I know, but I love cars!...and mechanics... Lupjcho, Viktor and I ate at a cool local restaurant, it was Vesnas birthday,and later Nikki and I climbed ISAR Hill; Then we had ice cream in town center and sat outside in the sun while we listened to Pink Floyd from somewhere nearby....and, later at home I cooked her dinner. She ate ice cream, two pieces of cake and two plates of food...(she will kill me for telling you this)...but what are good friends for? Vesna looked even more beautiful than usual because she was getting ready to attend a wedding. Today, Nikkis home-stay family invited me and Alyssa (my other site mate) to their house for a cookout. I must thank them for their gracious hospitality. Thank you for a lovely Sunday afternoon...then it was back to writing on the Grant again from me. (note: my first Selfie).
