Hi fellow teachers, would like to ask three questions, opinion - TopicsExpress

Hi fellow teachers, would like to ask three questions, opinion might vary from each individual to another, but please do share your thoughts. 1) Should we allow children to interact during meal times? Well, beside the fact that it may result in accidents such as choking. I was told by a lecturer a few years back, that during meal times, children actually interact about things that interest them, as most of the time in class, there is no time to talk. So, I do not know if I should ask my children to stop talking and eat or let them talk while eating, but not to talk with food in their mouth. 2) Should teachers eat with the children, or eat at a separate timing (i.e break time/children nap time)? Well, there are Pros and Cons definitely. Like when a teacher eat together with the children, supervision is being compromise. Also, teachers meal/food are (usually) slightly different from children food, children will tend to compare and such. 3) Is it a requirement for Centres to provide food for the teachers? I have a friend, who is working in centre XXX, and the centre doesnt provide meals for teachers. All teachers, are to buy/pack their own food. She told me that the principal did not mention this to her during the interview, the principal even said All teachers are allow to eat the CENTRES FOOD.. The point here is, how to eat? ; when there isnt any food share for the teachers. When the principal said, Centres food, did she meant children food?? Thanks in advance, for all the comments/opinions.
