Hi folks, Based on feedback from our questionnaire we have a split of some people wanting to work towards 10k, and the remainder sticking with 5k. No one said that they are finding the training too hard....so its time to up it a notch! This evening if we can split the groups as follows. Group 1 - is for anyone that can run 30mins or under for 5k, regardless if you are sticking with this distance or working towards 10k. Group 2- those working towards 10k. Group 3- those sticking with a 5k plan Group 4- our 0-5k runners/walkers. We are also looking at renaming the group as most of you are running 5km or beyond at this stage. If you have any suggestions just jot it down on a piece of paper and give it to us later. The name must have some connection with the Newtown Blues, so you must include either Newtown, Blues or both in the group name. We would love to see a few more men join the group and now is an ideal time to join in with the 0-5km group who will be working towards the next 5k. Keep these dates in mind.....the SOSAD 5k on Sept 12th and Lynn Kierans is looking after registration for this one. It would be great to get good support on the evening. Orlaith also posted the Kilkerley 4mile run which is on the 29th of August. This is ideal as part of the 10km training and a good challenge for anyone wanting to get a little stronger over 5km distance. We are looking at a combined 5k/10km then in October time. More info to follow. After training this evening pop upstairs in the club house to have a look at the photos from Carlingford! I will leave the photos up until sat and then you are welcome to take a few photos of yourself and friends. If anyone wants the large group photo I can take orders on Saturday. Thanks again to Kieran Carr for the photos. See you all later, Mags.
