Hi folks, First of all, I would like to congratulate our DCPH Execom and the entire DCPH community for another successful, fun-filled swapmeet at VW Showroom in BGC. Next, Id like to thank those who bought from me (special mention to James na na-terorista ko ata hahahahahaha!) and helped me raise funds for my upcoming trip to Hong Kong. Honestly, I really thought (and accepted the fact) that I wouldnt be able to bring home something today. Well, that didnt happen. While we were roaming around at the venue, I stumbled upon a Toyota 2000GT by Tomica which has the color of the Philippine flag. Joanne asked for the price and upon knowing it, nah... But then, the seller, a veteran and humble collector, offered it to me as a Pamasko. Of course, I was surprised. Humbly accepted it and gratefully thanked him. Talk about di gumastos pero may naiuwi. Hehehe! And I thought I was done for the day. I was wrong. Somehow, I suddenly got the courage to participate in the auction for charity. Who would have thought that I would get the chance to take home this 1/18 Ferrari F50 by Maisto, in pristine condition, with a respectably-good box, at a bargain price of 1000 Pesos? I thought Id lose it to someone else but Lady Luck was clearly on my side that hour. Reason for trying my luck on this particular item? Not sure of it. But hey, I am proud of getting that grail considering its rarity. Todays swapmeet lands as one of the most memorable events Ive attended as a collector.
