Hi folks. Firstly may I start by thanking the ambulance and fire brigade crews who attended me last Thursday morning at the scene of my accident. Guys, you are a credit to your profession and your humour, great manners and Dublin banter kept me together. Secondly, the doctors, nurses and staff at the A & E Dept. of Blanches town (James Connelly ) Hospital who examined me and assured my children of my condition. You displayed extreme professionalism and care, which I had never encountered before in any medical facility. Thirdly, the surgeons who worked for nearly 4 hours to restore some structure to my shattered arm. Your work was extraordinarily skilful under such difficult conditions. Lastly, but by no means least, the staff on the ward, who put up with me for those days I spent in their care. Again, you all exhibited your true professionalism, that makes you all the BEST. And of course not to forget my children, who have rallied around me in this difficult time, caring for the worst patient in the world. You make me so dam proud….I may, on occasions, drop in to FB from time to time in the next few months but it will only be for some brief comments until I make some reasonable recovery. Thank you all for the well wishes my friends and we shall return to reasonable normality later in the year. God bless you all. Philip.
