Hi folks, I know youre probably all bored of this type of post - but I dont know how to find a discussion about it here or on the webpage! I want a new GPS watch - because mine doesnt have enough battery life. Im doing a 100k next year, and if all goes well I may look to do a 100miler at some point in the next couple of years. So.... I think i need a watch with around 30+ hours OR one I can recharge on the go. I am not planning to do anything with major navigation, but Id quite like the nav thing on the watch in case i get lost in a race (from experience!) My search has led me to either the fenix2 or the ambit3 peak - mainly because of the battery life. Id buy the lower versions but i dont know how practical the charging on the go would be. I dont need any fancy altitude or weather stuff, but I would probably use the cadence and efficiency stuff if it was on there. i would pay for the top one, but not if i dont have to! So - which would you buy out of the two brands, and would you get the top of the range ones?? Can i get the battery life in another way?? any thoughts or advice much appreciated!
