Hi folks, It has been brought to our attention that a small minority do not wish the public to have access to Portavoe. We understand that Portavoe was kept as a little known place for many, many years. Yet it has been YOU the public that have fought so hard to save it. So please forgive me for posting what is a rather personal note? This is Trish here, I have had my face linked to this campaign for quite some time now. Along with the chairman Ron Ballard and all the members of the public that formed the Friends of Portavoe Group. 16 in total. The support the reservoir has received is amazing and without all of you fighting to keep this wonderful place I doubt we would have come this far! Sadly personally I have been on the recieving end of totally unwarranted verbal abuse while taking my dog for her daily swim. This by elderly gentlemen who in all honesty should know better! Yes WE have highlighted Portavoe and her plight and sorry if you in some way feel slighted by the public coming together to help? There have been times when it all got too much but I am no quitter. So next time you feel like trying to bully me I advise you speak to one of the many male supporters of this group! Lets get on with the business of Saving Portavoe for us all and not just the select few! Many thanks Trish.
