Hi folks. Ive posted here a couple of times asking for help with the fund raising for the four Major Motion Junior Develpment racers that are going to Europe to race in a couple of 6-Day races. I think that perhaps some of you do not even know what 6-Day racing is. A 6-Day is where racers compete in several madison based track events each night for several nights in a row. it is based on 6-Days but nowadays the races are run over three, four or six days. A Madison is a team event comprised of two man teams. While one rider from each team is racing in the pack the other team mate will be resting high on the track. This is called relief. When the racing rider approaches, the relief rider will drop down the track and lower his left hand to his side. The racing rider then comes by and grabs the relief riders hand and throws him into the race. The former race rider then swings up on relief and waits for his team mate to come around again to then throw him back in. Very exciting stuff.
