Hi folks. Long time ago hiker back in the boots again. I like reading the comments here. My first question of many I am sure. A friend and I are looking into doing a day hike/walk (10-15 miles) with our two dogs on the Pere Marquette State Trail this Summer. We are looking for a starting point 10-15 miles away from Clair Michigan as we plan on staying at the Daugherty Hotel for the evening and hiking/walking back the next day. Any suggestions for a safe place to leave out car for the evening at a starting point? Thanks
