Hi folks, Rick here - most of you know that LoveBellingham is my personal blog page, and every once in a while I actually post something personal! Today is one of those times. Despite the fact that Ive been a Republican for most of my life - born and raised in Bellingham, a local businessman for over 35 years - I am endorsing Seth Fleetwood for State Senator, 42nd District. Why Seth? Because I deeply love this beautiful place we live in, and I want we the people to prosper and thrive in a community that is valued, not sold off to the highest bidding lobby. Seth Fleetwood is the candidate who will protect our interests and promote the well-being of our area and its citizens. Because of his excellent record of community service, I know Seth will advocate for progress in the RIGHT direction, which will be a breath of fresh air after career-politician Doug Ericksens lousy record in the Senate. Ericksens greed, hypocrisy and shocking ability to lie has been on full view in this campaign, and I simply cant vote for a man like that, especially when there is so clearly a better man willing to do the job. So, I hope youll join me and all those who love this incredibly special place, to vote for an honorable candidate - Seth Fleetwood, the man who can.
