Hi folks! Thanks for the add to this group and thanks for sharing all your good ideas. I plan on converting my old cemetery entrance sonotubes to those haunted trees that I saw earlier this week. Theyre awesome! I help with a middle school cross country team. Each year, on the Friday evening closest to Halloween, we take over one of the towns parks and do a ghost run for the kids and their younger sibs. Former members of the team, now in high school, come out as the ghouls to provide the scares. Everyone gets treats and there are prizes for the winners of the runs. After weve had the kids run, we retire to the park building for a movie and treats baked by the parents. Part of my job is to create the cemetery. I have 60 or so dollar store and closeout tombstones, all repainted by hand to be more visible at night (okay, and because they generally needed it). Each year, I also do two 4 tombstones out of styrofoam with the names of the 8th graders on it: boys on one stone, girls on the other. I try to put an epitaph on each stone that includes some oblique reference to running and to death. Id love your help in coming up with this years epitaphs.
