Hi, folks. Wanted to make something clear to everyone -- if you send me a pedigreed dog with registry information, I will call the dogs breeder if I can find that information and check to see if that breeder had a must return to me clause in the original contract sale of the puppy. I will do that for any registered dog. This is absolutely normal for most purebred dog rescues. I will also do that on any chipped dog. If not chipped or registered, I will require due diligence to determine the owner of the stray. Question about what due diligence is, see my post at atriskintervention.org. Furthermore -- if you ask me to take a dog into one of our programs, you dont dictate what I can and cannot do. If you have a problem with this, then get someone else to place your dogs. There are lots of good and responsible breeders in the world who insist that their pups come back to them. Who are horrified by the circumstances that their pups end up in. I honor and support that life-long commitment to their breeds. Good breeders are our partners, not the spawn of satan incarnate.
