Hi, folks, a new heads up from John Paskell, SLE airport manager: The next project work area (Work Areas 2 and 10 combined), is now scheduled to begin Wednesday, June 18 and completed by July 11 (if not sooner). Please note that Runway 16-34 will be closed during this time. Additionally, please note that for those of you on hangared on the south side of the airport there will be a very extended taxi to depart Runway 31, using taxiways C, K, N and B back down to the 31 threshold. Our plan is to begin this work area along taxiway F (and the southern end of C) first, hopefully complete that section in the first week, and open it back up ASAP to relieve the extended taxi route. I will send out an update as soon as we know when that section will be open. Also, please note that there will be barricades to avoid on taxiway C at the intersection of H.
