Current Exhibition Shapings Recent Paintings by Fred Bendheim June 12 - July 13, 2014 In his inaugural solo exhibit at 440 Gallery, long-time Brooklyn-based artist Fred Bendheim brings a bolt of energy, bright color and visual bravado to the world of art. Bendheim constructs abstract, shaped paintings on cut-out surfaces. These shapings are usually made of wood and often painted in exuberant primary oil colors. Project Space Inside and Out Vicki Behm, Jay Friedenberg, Nancy Lunsford June 12 - July 13, 2014 These artists recreate what they see, objects or views, but each apply a unique sensibility and interpretation. Inside and Out presents Vicki Behms whimsical pen and ink drawings, Jay Friedenbergs vibrant pastels on sanded surface, and Nancy Lunsfords intimate colored pencil drawings. 440 Gallery is an established, approachable venue presenting substantive, engaging and affordable art in Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY.
