Hi friends, As some of you already know, yesterday was my last - TopicsExpress

Hi friends, As some of you already know, yesterday was my last day with Pennywise. I am leaving the firm to take care of my Dad (who is totally down) for next 4 months and then to pursue my interest in the crazy world of Digital Marketing. I will be taking up few freelancing projects for the next 4 months, so if you’re interested in learning more, please feel free to email me at prakash_rao7@yahoo. I’ve learned so much during my 39 months here at Pennywise. I’ve grown both personally and professionally, and I attribute much of my growth to the amazing people that I’ve worked with and the awesome opportunities that Pennywise Solutions has provided me. So, I thought that instead of sending out the usual obligatory “It’s been great…” email, I’d share with you a few life lessons I’ve learned from couple of mates during my time with Pennywise. 1. If you want to become a successful Manager, pay attention to details. This is rule number two of management (Rule #1: Logic, Logic, Logic). I picked this from Arup Sir. Initial days at Pennywise, I used to think he is giving me some dope. I realized that it was all true. Sirji - you’re a genius. 2. If you want to get rich, create multiple streams of income. This is rule number two in building wealth (Rule #1: Save, save, save). Venu Gopal Reddy Racharla taught me about this. I thought he was an idiot. Later, I noticed that he gets his tank full with bonus points on a frequent basis. To my surprise, I got to know that he lends his Credit Card to people and get the bonus points. Venus – you’re mwasome. 3. Your ability to network effectively is the most critical determinant of success in your career. Try to build a relationship with everyone you meet, and even more importantly maintain these relationships throughout your career. Indeed, authentic relationships are the only things that truly matter in life. Picked this up from Praveen Kumar Dinavahi. 4. Don’t ever lose sight of your dreams. It’s so easy to get caught up in the grind and, let’s admit it, the crazy “world of Pennywise” that we lose sight of the real world surrounding us. If you have a dream, get out there and get it done. Live the dream! – And Finally from Anusha (my lil sis). Girl, I’ve left two packs of smokes in your desk. When you get tensed or bucked up with work, go to the terrace and have a sigi ;) So, in parting, if I could pass on any word of advice to the individual who will soon be filling my position, it would be to cherish this experience like a sponge and soak it up like a good woman, because a job opportunity like this comes along only once in a lifetime. Meaning: if I had to work here again in this lifetime, I would sooner kill myself. LOL – Just kidding. I would love to get back to Pennywise once Dad gets back to shape. Thank you all for being awesome. Feel free to call, IM, email, snailmail, or stop by for dinner anytime. I look forward to staying in touch and helping you succeed in your own individual quests for world domination. Good luck, and I’ll talk to you soon! Most sincerely, Prakash Rao Sunkara
