Hi friends!! First of all, THANK YOU so much for sharing and tagging and commenting on sweet Jazzys post. Your passion is inspiring!!! I just wanted to clear a few things up: - Sadly, I cannot adopt Jasmine. I (Nanas mom) am moving out of state to start medical school in a few months; Nana and Zyra are going to be a handful as is. There is no way I could bring another dog into that situation; it wouldnt be fair to anyone. Also, if I were to adopt a third- there would be NO WAY I could ever foster again. - A plan is in the works for Jazzy to stay out of the shelter and go under the care of an incredible rescue. I wont state details yet as it is not confirmed, but please rest assured knowing that Jazzy will be safe no matter what and will likely spend a max. of maybe 2-3 days at our shelter while this plan is being ironed out (she will then come back to foster with me). - The shelter I volunteer at- the shelter where Jasmine is from- is an AMAZING shelter. I understand the grief and thinking that the shelter is making the wrong call by asking her to come back, but this is really not the case. Our foster program is usually reserved for only special cases (hospice dogs, dogs recovering from surgery, etc.) and Jazzy was only supposed to be with us for a week for an in-home evaluation. Allowing me to temporarily foster her was a huge privilege and a great deed done by the shelter. Anywhere else, her behaviors would have ended up in her crossing the rainbow bridge. Believe me when I tell you that those who are overseeing Jazzys situation have her best interest at heart, 100%. As we hadnt yet received any serious inquiries via social media, it was suggested that she may have a better chance where people are physically seeing every day, all day. I can absolutely understand that, however heartbreaking it would be to drop her back off (but again, this was the plan...Im thankful to have been able to foster her for longer than the original evaluation period). Ill update you all as soon as the plan is finalized. Thank you to everyone who has shared, tagged, offered to help, donated, etc. You have no idea how much we appreciate it! In the meantime, while I feel very confident about Jazzys future plans, please continue to network her for a serious adopter. Here are a few adorable photos of the sweet girl! Enjoy :)
