Having discussed this deeply amongst themselves, CFD members foresee the general elections 2014 as a game changer for the future of our Nation. For the stability of Indian society, overall growth of the country, internal and external security issues, inclusive and equitable growth of our economy, a strong, stable and development oriented government is a basic requirement. We firmly believe that, if a stable and strong central government is not in place in New Delhi after the elections, progress on almost all fronts in our country will be drastically retarded. Clearly, we cannot have a scenario similar to what happened to Delhi after the state legislature elections. We urge people of India to vote for a decisive government at the Center. We see that BJP under the leadership of Sri Narendra Modi is steering ahead to provide such a stable alternative which is the need of the hour. Mr. Modi’s address to the leadership forum at NASSCOM silver jubilee celebrations in Feb 2014 was very insightful and visionary. We clearly see him as a leader who has concrete ideas for rejuvenating the IT sector. In that speech, Modi has talked of reducing and eliminating the digital divide, using technology to usher in more inclusive growth apart from other insightful approaches, which few political leaders have discussed. Mr. Modis approach to other aspects of technological development of our society has been widely well received. We have decided to support BJP for their endeavors in these matters in the coming elections. We plan to have an interaction with Mr. Ananth Kumar, MP Bangalore South, on 29th March 2014, at 3.30 PM, in Kuvempu Kalakshetra, KR Road, VV Puram (opp to Gayana Samaja). At this forum, many of our IT industry leaders and veterans are planning to share their views on IT For Nation Building. We cordially invite all IT professionals to participate in this program.
