Hi friends, This is Anne. I wanted to share some information with you. First, thank you ALL so much for voting for us on the Shelter Challenge contest. It looks like were going to actually win Ga. but there are still a few hours left. All paws crossed! Second - we continue to post our Indiegogo link and the Go Fund Me link. We are trying desperately to raise the money needed to first, make this move and do the things that need to be done in the new place. We are losing our attached 800 sq ft warehouse which is a huge challenge. We have a LOT of stuff stored. It will take a minimum of a 20x25 size storage building to keep things in. Plus, we have to get zoning compliance which is another $350 in addition to the $350 to open at the new address. We have a $300 deposit coming due on the first power bill. Im checking to see if we have any coming back when we vacate the current one. Lots of expenses for a donation based rescue!! Finally - We are looking to the future. We are working on reducing our overhead which of course helps us tremendously. We are down to 85 kitties in the shelter. This is a big drop. We need to get down to 60 if at all possible before the move or as close as possible. There are fundraisers coming up with one goal - to save as much money as we can so we can either buy the building we are moving to or to buy a piece of property and build. We are going to wait until mid January after we have been in the building a few months to see how it fits. We will make a decision then which way to go and YOU will be kept in the loop. Please know we all appreciate all you do for us. Nothing is to small. We all cant make financial donations, no one understands this better! But you sharing our posts and kitties is as important and we are as grateful for that as for those that can contribute financially. We are ALL Macon Purrs N Paws!!
