Hi friends, This is Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuonas famous Malaguena. Its the 6th and last piece in his Suite Andalusia for piano which he completed in 1928. Later, he wrote lyrics for it in Spanish that have been translated into many other languages, but Ive never heard anyone sing Malaguena. In 1961, guitarist Carlos Montoya transcribed it for flamenco guitar, and since then, several different versions have been done, including a big band arrangement by the Stan Kenton Orchestra. Ill bet thats a good one! Ive arranged it for piano and guitar. Heres the Dropbox weblink: https://dl.dropboxusercontent/u/5538006/o%29%20Ernesto%20Lecuona%2C%20Malaguena.wav If you click on the link above, it should start playing in a few seconds if you have Google Chrome. If you right-click on the link, and choose Save link as, it will download to your Downloads folder in a few minutes, and you can play it from there with your computers media player by right-clicking on the file icon. Its also possible to copy the link into your browsers window, then hit enter. This is one of the guitar samples included in ProTools Expand 2. Those of you who play guitar will probably cringe, but this is the best I know how to do at the moment. This is the first time Ive experimented with MIDI recording, and as youll undoubtedly hear, I need help! Thanks for listening! - J.P.
