Hi friends and family. I got out of the hospital last night and I was transferred to Wedgewood Gardens a rehabilitation facility in Freehold Boro, on Rt. 9 N next to Perkins Pancakes. I had my dressing changed today and all looked good, no infections. I have 30 staples, 10 screws and 1 plate. It hurts like hell. I should be here for about 2 weeks and I am not to put pressure on my leg for 8 to 12 wks. So I have a long haul ahead of me. I was in a car accident, T-boned the other car, she just ran across in front of me trying to get to the Acme. I was in the far right lane (the fifth one actually). She did it so fast, I put on my brakes but I still hit her, not enough room. The officer said it could gave been worse. My car is totaled, both airbags deployed, well at least I know they worked. And the hood was pushed up. Right now I am sitting in a chair. Ugh, I shud be on the Class of 71 cruise tonight. I was looking forward to it. Oh well, best laid plans.
