Hi friends and family. Sorry Ive been conspicuously absent. My iPhone and my Droid both died right before I flew out here, to the South. It has been quite a journey. My mom; she is amazing; my hero. Ill try to be concise as it has been everything but. Mom came though the surgery wonderfully. Got all of the cancer; hadnt spread, as we feared. Lymph nodes clean! They removed a portion of her tongue; got it all. Two days in, we got a call. Mom was in a coma, they said, on life support. Possibly also had a heart attack. No heart attack but maybe a TIA (small stroke). She was on the vent for several days, but is off now. Spending most of my time at the hospital. Mom is in pain, but soo tough. And working so hard; wants to come home so badly. I give her twice daily massages, to help with all the aches and pains. Began taking over her bathing as they do it at 4am because the day shift is much busier. Now they are bathing her during the day. :-) We have been the squeaky wheel about some significant issues and it does work. My lil sister and her husband have been great. Mom had to have a PEG tube, a feeding tube, surgically inserted in her stomach this last week due to complications. She is such a fighter; her name is Bunny and she is like the Energizer bunny. Takes a licking and keeps ticking. This has been and continues to be a very long and difficult journey. Thank you all for your support, emotionally and financially, helping me to get out here. It means the world to me, my mom.. My family Everyone but me has been sick here at the house... Last night, I got home from the hospital very late. Ate some dinner...and began throwing up. Have the flu today. All the symptoms. Cant go to the hospital for fear of getting mom sick. Feeling bad
