Hi friends of Jacob! Yesterday was Jacobs first checkup for this - TopicsExpress

Hi friends of Jacob! Yesterday was Jacobs first checkup for this year. In general everything turned out quite good. Upon arriving at NUH we saw Jacobs pedia/GIs big picture near the entrance. He just received a National Clinician Mentor Award. We felt so proud for him and at the same time we were reassured that Jacobs healthcare is in the hands of one of the best doctors here in Singapore.👍😊 Thank you Lord.🙏 For this months checkup, the little warrior had his growth checked. His growth curve is still increasing. So again we thank the Lord for this grace.🙏 There were no blood tests yesterday but Jacob had his 2nd and last dose of MMR (mumps, measles and rubella) and chickenpox vaccines. Again, we thank the Lord for this grace as we need to finish all the vaccines before the transplant. After the transplant Jacob will be taking antirejection medicines that will suppress his immune system. So any vaccines taken after LT will no longer work. We need to build as much antibodies as we can before the transplant. And thanks to our Lord we are almost done with the vaccines.🙏 Another important update we learned is the liver transplant target date. Last month, June 2015 was mentioned as the liver transplant target date. But today we learned that Jacobs GI and surgeon thinks that if Jacobs liver holds to its current condition it can still be moved further to later this year or next year (2016). Our only thing with this is the waiting before the operation. But if it means more time for us to prepare financially, emotionally and spiritually, it is an answered prayer for us still. It is a Gods grace that we willingly accept.🙏 Lastly, we had an unexpected blessing from an unknown person/s which will cover a huge part of the LT cost. So Lord thank you for these blessings and bless these people so they can bless more people. Wala na kami masami kundi ang buti mo Lord. Jacobs doctor advised us to continue whatever we are doing with Jacobs regimen. So we continue praying. 🙏 It works.😊 With all the blessings today we went to St Anthony church to say a prayer of thanks. God is good! God bless us all and have a happy Tuesday. 😊
