Hi from Todd Dykes. Its Tuesday morning. We survived Monday!! Parents, are you surviving back-to-school shopping? Huntington Bank has done a shopping survey and heres what it says.. >The average cost of supplies for a middle-school student this year: $312 (up about $100 from last year) >The average cost to outfit a high school student this year: $350 (up $20 from last year) Apparently, the big middle school price hike is due to a new calculator required in certain states. I have little ones, so my wife and I dont feel too overwhelmed at this point. How about you? Are you spending a lot of cash when it comes to back-to-school shopping? Weigh in and let us know.
