Hi gang, hump day is coming to a close. Had to fill out another dozen Christmas cards today, did do two loads of wash, dusted TV room, and fixed a meatloaf for dinner. Theresa had to go to Annapolis to turn in all her stuff for her job. It is now official. Im not home by myself anymore. Wanda VanLeeuwen Trainor had her back procedure today, hopefully it will be successful. Kelly Mitchell Faudree Wetherington, also saw two physicians today and only time will tell on her progress. A close friend of ours, Tammy and Gordy, took their daughter to the hospital because she was having trouble with her pregnancy. She was transferred to John Hopkins where they did emergency surgery on her to take the baby that was in distress. The baby boy weighing in at 4 1/2 pounds had a intestinal blockage and needed emergency surgery also. The premie and mother are both doing well now, but are in need of thoughts and prayers. Spoke to VA and set up both my doctors appointments for glasses and regular check up. One appointment is in January and the other in Feb. They told me that even though I was suppose to be seen in October or November, be satisfied I got an appointment at all, because they are busy. Good thing Im not dying. Received a letter from VA today with a ID card allowing me to go to an outside facility, but can only be used if you live more then 40 miles away from the clinic, or waiting more then 30 days for a life saving condition, etc. But only with approval, so, what good is the card. I monitor my own blood pressure and try to stay out of stressful situations. Yeah right. According to my grand daughter in-law, Brittany Sims, she is starting to feel better and hopefully will be back in her own home very soon with the little ones. They are so truly missed. They need to be home before Christmas. Well its time for Chicago P. D. to come on so Im going to end. You all know what to do, the man up stairs is waiting for your words. Remember the less fortunate, our veterans, our military and their families. Dont forget the lonely elderly friends, family and neighbors. Good night.
