Hi gang, its Monday so that means its time to Swingout down at SP Brighton. Theres lots of fun to be had in both classes this week and apologies once again for last weeks start time confusion. Just to be clear class times are: 7pm - Level 1 (beginners) 8pm - Level 2 Anyone arriving early is more than welcome to help us move tables and chairs around :) This week in level 1 well do some more 6 beat Lindy Hop and Level 2 will be all about combining 8 and 6 beat Lindy Hop - just as we do in social dancing. This will be great week to progress your social dancing ability and confidence to get out on the floor. For inspiration, heres a great clip of Frankie Manning dancing with Erin Stevens from 1989, courtesy of our mate in Seattle, Mark Kihara. Look carefully and youll see the high steps that we did last week plus some pecks! Frankie would have been about 75 in this clip and Erin Stevens was one of the key people who encouraged him to come out of retirement to start teaching Lindy Hop again.
