Hi guys - have you always wanted to have your very own personalised Power Play Card?! Next year you can!!! Today we are launching a competition where the winner will have a caricature artist create a Power Play card based on your own headshot that will feature in the 2015 Power Play release! More information to come, but in the mean time, here are the competition Terms & Conditions. TERMS & CONDITIONS – 2014 NRL Power Play Illustrated Fan Card competition 1. The promotion commences at 10am on Monday 11th August 2014 and concludes at 5pm on Monday 18th August 2014 . Entry into the promotion constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. 2. The promoter is: ESP Merchandise Pty. Ltd., Level 4, 543-549 Bridge Rd., Richmond 3121, ABN 79 119 725 469 (the Promoter). 3. To enter the promotion the participant must nominate what NRL Club they are a member of and then write in 25 words or less why they are their NRL Club’s ultimate fan. All entries must be received by Monday August 18th, 2014. 4. The entries will be grouped into 16 groups according to the NRL Club nominated by the entrant. The entries will be judged by a panel made up of two representatives of the Promoter and one representative of the NRL. All entries will be judged based on the content and creativity of the entry. The judge’s decision is final and no further correspondence will be entered into. 5. There are 16 prizes that are on offer. One prize will be awarded to the best entry in each of the 16 groupings referred to in Clause 4 as determined by the judging panel in accordance with clause 4 above. 6. Each winner will receive the following prizes: (i) The Promoter will organise a caricature artist to draw an illustrated caricature of the winner which will appear as one of the card designs in the 2015 NRL Power Play release. The artist will draw the caricature off the photograph submitted by the winner. In total each caricature card will be printed and distributed within 1 of every 6 packets produced for the 2015 NRL Power Play release. (ii) one framed set of the 16 caricature cards valued at $100.00 each set. This prize will only be available for distribution after April 2015.. 7. Entry is open to all permanent residents of Australia who are current members of an NRL club 8. This is a game of skill. The prize cannot be transferred and cannot be redeemed for cash. Prizes cannot be replaced if stolen, lost, damaged or destroyed after they have been delivered to the winning Participant. 9. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel the promotion and, in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process. 10. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and their associated agencies and companies associated with the promotion are ineligible to enter the competition. 11. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. 12. All entries become the property of the Promoter and the NRL and will be destroyed on the conclusion of the 2014 NRL Grand Final. 13. The total prize pool is $1,600. There are 16 prizes available to win. 14. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not elect to take the prize or, on viewing the caricature does not wish to have it form part of the 2015 NRL Power Play release then the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize. In this event, the judging panel will be reconvened and will select the next best entry within the grouping. 15. The Promoter will not be liable for failure to deliver the prize due to incomplete or incorrect information provided by the winning Participant. 16. By participation in the promotion, promotion entrants and the winning participant consent to the Promoter and the NRL using their name, image and likeness in the form of a caricature in the 2015 Power Play card release on up to 6,000 number of cards and in any media (including but not limited to TV, radio, online and press) without compensation for the purposes of inclusion into the 2015 Power Play game cards and their publicising and marketing. The winners waive all moral rights, if any, in relation to the use of the caricature being used in the manner contemplated by this agreement. 17. The winner will be notified by email on Tuesday August 19th 2014 and will also have their name published on the NRL Power Play’s Facebook page and the website elitesports.au for a period of 28 days from the notification.
