Hi guys, I have started to TIG as a hobby but I have a few questions that I was hoping to find some answers to (hope this is the right forum): 1) how can you weld without the pedal? I adjust both the peak and basic current and using 2T & 4T (using torch trigger) current still stays low until I use the foot pedal. 2) in my picture I have 1.6mm stainless steel piping, when joining is it necessary to, bevel? purge? use filler for this thickness? 3) should I place the pieces I want to join touching or should there be a small gap?
