I know some of you are concerned about getting those 250 points in order to get AMSA on your transcripts so we have another great and easy way to earn more points! The Michael Hoefflin Foundation for pediatric cancer has asked our department and ASG to assist with collecting donations for holiday baskets that they will be distributing to the families they help. This year, they are anticipating distributing 225 baskets to families. In an effort to help collect donations for the holiday baskets, we are asking for help from clubs & organization to aid in the project. The list of possible items is: - Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa Mix, 6 ounce box - Pretzel Sticks, 12-16 ounce bag - Fiddle Faddle popcorn, 6 ounce box - Hershey’s chocolate Nuggets, 12-29 ounce packages (any variety) - Nestlé’s chocolate covered raisins, 3.5 ounce box - Kellogg’s Fruit flavored snacks, 2.5 ounce packages (any flavor) - Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Crackers, 6-7 ounce packages (any variety) - Trail Mix, 4-5 ounce package (any variety) - Almond Roca, 10 ounce cans - Mother’s Original Circus Animal Cookies, 14 ounce bag - Snack cookies and sandwich crackers (Oreo, Nabisco or Keebler) - $25.00 Grocery Gift Card You will be getting 15 points for every item you donate. The deadline for turning in those donations is November 25th which is the date of our next general meeting so you can just drop them off at the meeting and officers will be in charge of turning them in.
