Hi guys, I wanted you to be amongst the first to hear my exciting news – Andy and I are expecting a baby this summer. It is very early days, and we are both incredibly excited and a little anxious too! I have been lucky in that I feel very good and have no crazy cravings yet!! I am going to maintain a steady training programme and return to full time athletics post baby Ennis-Hill arriving and the thought of going for another World and Olympic medal really excites me – it offers me a new and tough challenge – one I will savour! My team are setting me and adapted programme for the next few months and then for post baby and I know they will do an amazing job as always. 2014 will be a very different journey to the one I had planned but one that I am sure will be fun - I will keep you all posted on my progress! The one thing that has been hard is knowing I won’t be able to compete in Glasgow as I was really looking forward to it – but I will be watching and giving the event all my support in the next few months and from the sidelines (or from the sofa with my feet up) in July.
