Hi guys... Im curious to hear about peoples thoughts on how they think the sacking of Todd Carney was handled by the club? Not so much whether he should have been sacked or not as that point has been argued, and I think peoples opinion on that point will always be a 50/50 split. But I think the way in which he was sacked was terrible... From the time this scandal was made public, a full thorough investigation should have followed and Todd should have been called into the club to offer his side of the story and explain his actions. Not find out via txt msg from other players. Is our image that tarnished that we had to make a quick irrational decision to please the NRL public? On the first week of March in 2013, a huge scandal broke that brought our club to its knees. What followed immediately was almost comical by the way it was handled by our clubs board. Fast forward now 14 months and I dont think much has really improved since those days. From my point personally, and I dont mind saying this publicy, I dont think Todd should have been sacked, I think a lengthy suspension, now that we know all the facts, would have sufficed. Now I know the board makes all the decisions, but to me it seems like some hard feeling from Steve Noyce have carried on from the days at the Roosters, and he was just waiting for an opportunity to move Todd Carney on from the club. This scandal has again divided our club, our fans are once again left angry with more questions than answers, and more importantly our players are again frustrated and disillusioned by their employers. Going forward, how are we going to manage to retain the players on our roster? And how do we manage to attract more players, and really good players to our club in the future? Listen to all the fans and supporters of other NRL clubs and even other codes and they are laughing at us. We have become the laughing stock of Australian sport.... and it hurts. It is only the players and fans now keeping this proud club together. Just another proud, angry, upset, frustrated, longtime sharks supporter, like Greg BJ Watson, having a say.... and curious to hear how everyone else is feeling?
