Hi guys! Im glad everyone is thinking ahead for the Corn Maze (Sept 27th), but Tristen dont forget about the Citadel demo we were asked by Jason Lantrip to support at the Roman Tech Exhibit for the El Paso Museum of History on Sept 20th. There is also a trip up to Aurora for Punkin Chunkin on October 11-12 for those who are interested. I am comfortable with Sam, Doug, and Austin assembling and operating the trebuchet, preferably together as a team. They did a great job at Hostilude. Austin and Britton scored highly on the Siege Marshal Practice Exam. In terms of PPE, I feel that armor does more harm than good considering the heat at and duration of the Corn Maze event. Leather gloves are needed for assembly and safety glasses are a good idea when pulling the trigger. Beyond that, ensure everyone stays outside the safety buffer zone defined in the spec sheet below. Remember: we want to expose the minimum number of people to the minimum level of risk for the minimum amount of time needed to fire the trebuchet.
