Hi guys! Thanks again to everyone who participated in the Letters - TopicsExpress

Hi guys! Thanks again to everyone who participated in the Letters to Steven event, they are in the mail and on their way to Ottawa right now! If you missed your chance, they will be making a reappearance on Tuesday between 11:00am and 1:00pm in the Birch caf, and again at the Beyond Boarding screening of their film Northern Grease, Thursday Feb 6 at 7pm in the Bosa film and animation center! That is a free Earthworks event, and it is a documentary/snowboarding film about the oil industry in Canada made by Capilano grads! Also on Tuesday (same time same place) will be your first of 3 chances to sign up as an intervenor or commentor against the Kinder-Morgan Trans Mountain pipeline and tanker expansion that would put 2-3 oil tankers per week in Burrard Inlet right across from our campus! Signing up is easy and Forest Ethics, Global Stuardship and myself will be there to help you along the way. All you need to do is demonstrate how you are personally affected by either the pipeline, the tankers, or both in a 500 or fewer word statement. Visit forestethics.org or come down to Birch on Tuesday, or to the CSU library lounge at 6pm on Wednesday Feb 5 for an info session with Forest Ethics, or again there will be a chance to sign up at Northern Grease on Thursday! If you want to get started straight away, go to neb-one.gc.ca and click on the Trans Mountain Project link on the right hand side of the page and follow the prompts!
