Hi guys! The Hoopeston Animal Shelter is filled to the gills with animals and is always in need of donations of items, monetary or time. We vet every animal as needed and make sure they have shots, are healthy and spayed or neutered before adoptions. We are there over 12 hours a day most days but definitely at least 8 hours 7 days a week to take care off over 50 cats and almost 20 dogs so there is a a lot of cleaning and feeding that happens every day and without the support and donations from the community, this would never be able to be achieved. In this regard, we are in need of dry cat and dog food without dyes, canned cat and dog food, non-scoopable cat litter, bleach, laundry soap as we dont use newspapers, paper towels, lemon scented pine sol to mop the floors, file folders, ink cartridges, copy paper so we can keep track of all these animals, garbage bags, dawn dish soap so we can bathe the animals safely and wash the dishes, crates of all sizes, and large kennel enclosures so we can house more animals as the need arises, tables for adoption events and the list goes on and on but most importantly, we need VOLUNTEERS!
