Hi guys. i know a bunch of you picked up Destiny. For that reason this might be an interesting read: reddit/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/2hqmkb/how_destinys_content_completely_changed_over_the/ In mid-2013 Destiny had to undergo a huge rewrite and gutting of content. It caused a few people to leave the studio. It seems like this might have been enforced from the publisher, or perhaps a terrible business choice by Bungie. Either way, it explains a LOT. Basically a good 1/3 or more of the story content was removed, large swaths of the game locked away, and Grimoire Cards implemented to help fill in the blanks. Seems plausible enough to me, and theres a good bit of supporting evidence. But clearly all the Bungie devs are under NDA, so until someone leaks theres no confirmation. We do know that a ton of the upcoming DLC is already on the disc, feature complete, behind an invisible wall in game, which really stings.
