Hi here is a great system to protect your bike It is not cheap however it means you will probably never have a bike stolen if you follow this guide. it works only if you follow it all If anyone has a different system please reply. Please dont list disc locks and trackers because most locks and trackers can be ripped off and are not needed if you do things right 1. get an almax chain series 3 and squire + ground anchor £250+ A series 4 is great but cant be carried as it weighs loads. attach it on your drive with the chain in the air not laying on the ground. if you park on the street use a almax and a pinch pin to attach to a lampost. If not chained to something bike can be van loaded. here is a link of a almax tested which after 8 minutes bent the croppers but still would not cut youtube/watch?v=ozppzywsLsk here is a link of many chains including expensive ones tested, longest one lasted i think 1 minute youtube/watch?v=VC3hFr8p2ck 2. alarm the bike hawk x-50 £30 or anything better without an alarm all the locks can be defeated because they can take all night with an alarm they alert you as soon as its touched 3. if you park on your drive install a security light. £10 noone wants to steal a bike whilst being iluminated by 500watts 4. never hide a bike down the side of your house or in a garage without an alarm and chain. a garage shed or secure parking is in fact worse than your drive because a thief cant be seen and can take a long time on stealing your bike 5. always take the chain with you to prevent someone cutting it and cable tying it together to quick steal your bike later. 6. seperate your alarm key from your other keys. otherwise if you drop your keys near your bike you lose the bike 7. dont install the panic kill engine feature on your alarm as if its in your pocket when riding an gets bumped whilst you taking a corner your in real trouble light £10 almax £250 alarm £30 so for about £290 it is impossible for someone to steal it if its within earshot. an almax would required a petrol angle grinder and some time. If you park in a garage and are ok with tools buy an old safe and an alarm with telephone dialer and a small wireless single camera and a 500w pir light. mount the light and camera on top of the safe with glue put the alarm system inside the safe and drill a hole out the back for the phone cable power and remote sensor on a bit of cable. draw a smiley face on the front or a sticker of the middle finger and write a cute phrase like smile b*tch or F**k you mount against a wall and maybe run the phone cable up some pipe. when someone enters the alarm goes off the light blinds them and you get video of them freaking out and falling over whilst trying to run back out the door if you tilt the light away they get to see the camera and message and you get to enjoy the look on their face as they realise what just happened. merry christmas everyone
