Hi hi! Just a short update today- no major changes but everything is still going really well! Karebear has been breathing on her own for 46 hours with no changes in her blood pressure or vitals at all, which is fantastic. She keeps her eyes open for most of the day and is starting to move them a lot more as well as the occasional turn in her head. Her arm and leg movement is also getting more plentiful day by day and she squeezes our hands more frequently. All of these are great signs, and we are still absolutely moving in the right direction. We are really looking forward to graduating from the CCU, so we hope that her progress continues steadily and without hinderance so that that can happen soon :) The surgery to insert the brain shunt is looking like it will take place on either Monday or Tuesday. Ill keep you updated as that nears and we get some more details. Ill also inform you if they decide to remove her trach in the next few days because that would be a huge step.
