Hi ladies! I hope your summer is going well and we cant wait to see you on campus! This message is to let you all know about the three literary publications at Hollins. :) Cargoes is a long-running, more traditional journal, published once yearly. Its filled with honest voices and organic art--check out the facebook page Cargoes Hollins to find out some more. If you want any Cargoes specifics, feel free to contact either myself, Taylor Walker, or the head editor Morgan Blalock. The Album is our experimental literary magazine, and its vibrant and intense and has everything you can imagine inside its pages. (The staff of the Album also put together a publication called Whatever, which contains whatever. You know youre curious.) If you want some info about the magazine or are interested in holding a position as reader, contact Laura Metter or Brandie Gray, this years two co-editors. Last but certainly not least is The Cyborg Griffin, the speculative fiction literary magazine that publishes art, essays, fiction and poetry from all of the speculative genres. CG is also a club which supports love of all things speculative! If youre interested, message this years head editor (official title: Madame President) Jade Ashli, or the vice-president Kara Wright. Anyone may submit to any magazine (PLEASE SUBMIT; WE LOVE YOU ALREADY!), but it can also be fun to be directly involved in the editorial boards as an official reader, so keep these three lovely publications in mind this summer.
