Hi, mates! The school is looking for three people who want to fill its Student Councils vacancies!!! They are the following ones: (1) Education Officer Key responsibilities: 1. Liaising with the department heads 2. Holding meetings with the class reps for each department 3. Sitting on the library committee 4. Sitting on the Boards of studies 5. Hosting open forum events for students 6. Consulting on academic policy 7. Running the incoming elections 8. Devising the student rep. workshop & development program 9. Devising a management feedback strategy (2) Societies & Entertainment Co Officer Key responsibilities: Assisting and assuming shared responsibility of the items listed below in conjunction with the Societies and Entertainment Officer 1. Chairing the sports and societies board 2. Devising the sports and societies leadership program 3. Co-ordinating independent student events 4. Assisting the college with DBS lead events 5. Representing DBS at the national clubs and societies awards (BCIS) 6. Representing the council at DBS events such as fresher’s week 7. Developing the DBS Entertainment Card. (3) International Student Officer 1. Advise EU and Non EU students on accommodation(i.e. familiarise students with suitable and safe areas to source accommodation in conjunction with Student Services) 2. Speaking to International students at 1st year orientation 3. Assisting and Informing Students of the GNIB regulations and procedures. 4. Work closely with the Societies and Entertainment Officer and Co Officer to cater events for the International students. 5. Working closely with the three International Societies currently in operation to collect data and enhance the International student experience.
